Escaping life at the Everest Base Camp in Nepal

Escaping life at the Everest Base Camp in Nepal

Late 2014, I decided I wanted to travel for a bit every year and explore the world. So in 2015, I packed some bags and left for a holiday within my means. I travelled to the mystical North-East of India and it sparked a chain of positive changes in my life. It gave me a different perspective of the world and its people. I returned home refreshed, rejuvenated and wanted to do it again. Slowly, I picked up backpacking, hiking, trekking, mountaineering, photography, long distance running, reading and now writing as my new hobbies and rediscovered myself. A few months later, I did it again and I want to continue travelling and learning.

This blog is my attempt to document and share my travel experiences, everything that motivates me and inspires me, hoping it will inspire you to get out and explore the world around you.

Take a time out and switch off. We all need to Escape life.

It only ends once, everything that happens before that is just progress

I am an amateur photographer, inspired traveller, aspiring mountaineer, positive thinker and a minimalist.

Read about escaping life, one holiday at a time.

  1. Hi Johann, thanks for following my website. Looks like you travel to lots of the same places I do. Be sure to check out my Nubra Valley post. It’s on Atlas Obscura, too. This summer I’m off to Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the Wakhan Corridor in N. Afghanistan, so some interesting photos should be along in the next few months, Inshallah.

    Happy Trails,
