At 6:30am, we boarded the rickety domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, one of the most dangerous airports in the world.
30 minutes on the flight, the plane made a 10 second landing and slammed it’s wheels on the mini airstrip which only 500m long. It was the scariest landing ever!!
We had breakfast in Lukla and started our trek with my team. There were 5 of us, 3 Sherpas, me and my friend who joined me at Kathmandu.
We trekked 4 hours into Phakding a small village stopover for the night before heading out to Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital the next day.
