It was day 2 of the EBC (Everest Base Camp) and Three Passes Trek which takes us through a circuit of the Khumbu area and the Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal, right at the foot of the tallest mountains of the world.
We started our trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. It was a long day and the last 2 hours were real strenuous, taking us a good 8 hrs (including our breaks) to reach the next destination. The whole trail is about 85% ascents and a few descents.
Settling into Namche, the weather became cold with the clouds moving in right after we reached Namche and we sat in our sleeping bags to keep us warm.
The next day we climb higher but will get back to Namche again to sleep lower, acclimatizing further to the high altitude.
Altitude: 3440m/ 11386ft
