This is my tribute to these bunch of friendly fellows who always put up a smile on their face no matter. Their humble yet resilient character has been a rock for the success of climbers in the Himalayas for decades.
Looking back at my journey to the Everest region in Nepal.
We were out of gas when we reached Thame. Our feet was heavily blistered and bleeding, there was barely any energy left in us.
We went to sleep with the plan to summit Gokyo Ri the next day
Continuing my journey across the Khumbu region traversing the Three High passes. We docked in beautiful Gokyo, deep inside the Sagarmatha National Park.
Gokyo village, is nestled in between the Gokyo lakes and the mountains. This lakeside settlement boasts of one of the most serene views of the entire region.
The beautiful village of Dzongla gave us the feeling of the last village of the world before it drop on the other side.
This was arguably the best village on the trek and without doubt, hands down had the best views of the Khumbu Himalayas from a village. Dzongla was a small fairy-tale village.
